Oldfield Surgery

The new extension was completed in 2002 and provides
accommodation for a National Health Service Dental Suite,
Pharmacy and a new, fully accessible main entrance.

The prominent location of the site within the Bath
Conservation Area required a high standard of design and
quality of materials such as natural Bath stone for the
elevations and natural slate for the roof. A glazed porch at
the Main Entrance provides shelter and visual emphasis.

Project procurement was by a traditional arrangement which
allowed control of the detailed design and ensured good
value. A six month contract period was followed by separate
fitting out contracts for the Dental Suite and Pharmacy during
which the existing Doctors Surgery remained fully
